The Academy presents: Playing with Gender MWxj present the joys, challenges and potential of playing with gender in our kink communities in their unique discussive, informative but also performative way. Date: September 8 Time: 19 - 21 Place: BCS Cost: 150 kr RSVP: info@the-academy.se We always play with gender regardless of identity or idenitities we choose or express. Often unstated, or subconscious, this impacts and brings insight to our BDSMF play. Imagine the positives and negatives of that. How does this change when we choose to consciously play with gender or gender roles? This workshop explores all of this. From the assumptions that exist within the BDSMF communities about gender, to the possibilities and potential of actively choosing to play with gender and gender roles. The discussion will include: Examples of gender roleplay Changing gender in, out or between scene(s) Creating different gender persona(s) in play How we can play with or incorporate the power of cultural understandings of gender and roles The practices of the edge of gender play Playing with gender role taboos and consensual "enforced" gender roleplay or swapping And more We promote the most open and positive ways to include the full diversities of gender identity, expression and play in our BDSMF communities, as we hope to inspire you to play in new, unique, fun and safer ways with gender. |
