Invitation to Follow up Community Meeting Community leaders and volunteers invited to work together on projects of mutual interest. You are invited to join our work group collaborating on community projects. Participants: Official representatives from organisations encouraged to attend as well as persons willing to offer volunteer hours of support. On June 3, 2015, RFSU Stockholm’s BDSM&F Grupp along with the HBTQ ♥ BDSM, en medlemsgrupp inom RFSL Stockholm hosted a community meeting for BDSMF related groups. We discussed a number of possible ways to work together. If you are interested in joining the group, we will send you complete meeting notes. The meeting included members from Groups represented: Club Sade, Lash, Wish, Quid pro quo, RFSU Stockholm/RFSL Stockholm BDSM (&F) Groups, BDSM Uppsala, Commando S, Peer Rope group, BCS, and Youth Fika. We discussed the possibility of working together on the following (partial list): Kink Aware Professionals listing Kinky quarter at Pride - repeat model Folsom Street Fair type project Media event Fund raising events for collaborative group projects Umbrella name for coordination Certified Dungeon Monitor training RFSU and RFSL have educational project money that we can apply for together for large projects Lobbying large organisations Link smaller organisations around the country Coordinate efforts to educate professional groups Membership to larger organisations with open support of BDSM, HBTQ and Fetish support within those groups Our purpose (taken from the original event posting): This is an Open Meeting with interested people who wish to be more informed on community development as well as participate in creating and executing solutions. Those who wish to make personal contributions to the community are especially encouraged to participate. Here we have the opportunity to have a forum to hear each other’s voice, find our common ground and begin the discussion toward collaborating in a meaningful and effective way. The meeting is held in English. We seek to build collaborative relationships between the various BDSM and Fetish groups in the Stockholm area and beyond. This will both support the greater community in its growth as well as provide resources to power the collaborations the groups decide to adopt. There has been a huge growth in the interest in BDSM and Fetish in the larger community and the established communities are having a challenge to keep up with the demand. RFSU is constantly sought after as a source of good information. Yet resources are strained, thus initiated this platform. Goals and objectives The goals for Discussion Panel: 1to positively impact BDSM and Fetish leadership, 2to help build bridges between BDSM organizations in Stockholm and Sweden and build sustainable alliances with them, 3to help establish a plan of supporting professionals in working with people involved with BDSM and Fetish 4 to begin planning how the general public can be educated, 5 to create greater awareness of the RFSU Stockholm BDSM&F group and HBTQ ♥ BDSM a Members Group within RFSL Stockholm and their activities, as well as their mother organizations, and to directly increase membership. AT THIS MEETING IN NOVEMBER We will review the last meeting, discuss procedure of operations and make plans for proceeding with future projects. If you must come and go at different times, please let us know ahead of time and do so respectfully. A light vegan dinner will be provided to individuals RSVP’ing ahead of time. We will do our best to meet allergy requirements. You are welcome to bring your own food. However, meat is not allowed in the building.
