SHIBARICAMP 2024
About Shibaricamp
We're dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of gender, body type, ethnicity, or other societal markers, feels valued and respected. Our aim is to foster a sense of community, humility, and fun, empowering you to set and explore your personal boundaries in a space that celebrates creativity and self-expression.
What is Shibaricamp?
ShibariCamp is an engaging, week-long retreat focused on the art of rope bondage, held annually on the scenic west coast of Sweden during the second week of August (Week 32). It's a cozy, intimate gathering designed for enthusiasts of all levels—from seasoned practitioners to newcomers eager to explore rope bondage. The camp promotes a spirit of community and co-creation, set against the backdrop of Sweden's breathtaking landscapes.
For whom is it?
Accessibility
Unfortunately the venue is not accessible with a wheelchair. The houses are old and the surroundings are not very flat. There is no hearing loop installed at the venue.
We are sad about this, and it is contrary to our vision about camp, but our current situation gives us few options.
Previous experience
The only thing you need in order to enjoy Shibaricamp is a love for rope. Participants range from those experienced with rope, who come to hone their skills, to the beginners who are curious to learn. If a class requires a certain type of previous experience, this will be posted.
Don't be afraid to come alone
Many attendees arrive with a partner, but plenty come solo or are open to connecting with new partners. To facilitate connections before the event, we recommend engaging with our ShibariCamp group on Fetlife, the Fetlife event page, or the Darkside (Fetopia) event.
During the camp, we'll also provide opportunities to meet and partner up with others.
Safety and well-being
Our goal is to offer a safe, supportive space that encourages learning and exploration for everyone, regardless of gender, role, or sexual expression. We advocate for a culture of consent and respect, where boundaries are honored, and a "no" doesn’t need to be motivated.
