LEVEL: UPPER INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED MYTHOS SHOWA: PERVERTED FANTASIES & BEAUTIFUL SUFFERING At this weekend intensive workshop we reach out to what got lost under all that shapes, forms and katas: Our original dreams, desires and phantasies, that drew us towards these dark spaces we call ‘Kinbaku’. Based on the technical skills we all have acquired over the past years, we want to invite you to follow us back to the origins. What happens when we put ourselves into the mind of that dirty old (wo!)man? What does the creep, the peeper spotting through a slightly opened Sho-ji door really sees? We will draw inspirations from Sugiura Norio’s work, from Ozuma Kaname, Yoji Muko, and others from Kitan Club and Uramado - maybe even from Ito Seiu and Yoshitoshi. We will take a fresh look at what we perceived as Japanese aesthetics - whilst tying for real. Doing so, we will dive deeper into a power dynamics of take and surrender. This is a practical workshop: you will tie / get tied a lot. FOR WHOM IS IT? This workshop is for couples (of all ages (18+) and gender constellations) who gained solid upper-intermediate to advanced experience in Japanese-inspired bondage, and want to explore further more how to apply the learned principles in BDSM play. GAINS AND BENEFITS …as a rigger: • deeper understanding of concepts and philosophy of „seme“ as BDSM play • becoming more creative with your own adaptions of the standard ties • exploring possibilities beyond bamboo: beams and poles / hashiras • getting more confident in expressing your own intention and kink desires in ropes … as a rope-bottom: • practice using your attention to connect deeper with yourself and your partner • developing a feeling of your emotional and physical limits and positively communicating them • learning receptivity, staying soft under the impact of the ropes • finding a feeling of internal safety during more challenging ties Models choose some inspiring clothing and/or preps for their riggers. PRE-REQUISITIONS Both Bring rope partner that you already know well in ropes and wish to share intimacy and fantasies with. As we go into the realm of the 'Why' we actually tie, you must be curious about yourself and your partner and willing to explore your fantasies together. Riggers You have all fundamental basic in your fingers (TK, suspension lines, tension, safe handling etc.). Rope models For this workshop you must be body conscious and risk aware, and know yourself in ropes emotionally, mentally as physically, - and willing to dig a bit deeper and further away from your comfort zone to discover your states of surrendering. CONTENT Seme as BDSM Play * Aesthetics of suffering * Porn Art in East and West * Upgraded floorwork * Tying to beams and poles * Upright positions on Hashira * Exposing positions *Objectification * Predicaments * Tying with many ropes and avoiding the impression of “overtying” * PRACTICAL INFO Riggers bring along at least 12 jute ropes, 5 or 6 mm, cut to a length suitable for you and your model (bring rice-, coconut-, sisal-, cotton-, … rope - whatever you have) SCHEDULE Saturday & Sunday 11:00–18:00 6 hrs hands-on training and 1-hour lunch break.
