Needle Play 101 Workshop Join us for a hands-on beginners workshop about needle play! We will give insight to why we love to play with pain and blood in this way, give pointers for safety and risk assessment and share techniques on how to start practicing needle play. Among the topics included are different types and sizes of needles, where on the body to put them, and apart from the physical part we will also talk about potential psychological aspects. This workshop will include presentations with demonstrations, some interactive discussion and paired/solo practical exercises. We will also give some inspiration through personal anecdotes. We will provide some needles and all necessary equipment, but feel free to bring your own in case you have preferences. Make sure you have had lunch in advance. We will provide some light snacks – mainly chocolate and fruit. This workshop is geared towards beginners, meaning complete rookies or people that are just starting out to practice. The workshop will be held in English. Queers only. If you have any questions before attending you are welcome to contact either one of us, _miqx (Fetlife) or the other facilitator + organizer Synchro (DS) / Synchronice (Fetlife) About the Facilitators _miqx (he/him/hole) is a bottom and bloodslut who loves to be the victim in all sorts of needle and bloodplay. He has many years of experience in all sorts of bloody things, needles, hooks, staples.. mostly, but not only, on the receiving end. Synchro (they/them) is a queer perverted Dom, a blood thirsty sadist fond of D/s, discipline, fear, blood and affectionate cruelty, amongst many other things.. They have a special eye for sharp things (knives, needles, staples and other implements) and enjoy the intimacy involved in making their partner bleed. The Basement Lab The Basement Lab is a series of workshops and skillshares that bring people together in a relaxed setting. It’s where perverted creativity meets connection and experience, where the community is offered a moment to gather to share knowledge, ideas and inspiration. The intimate, laid-back atmosphere is to foster a space for exploration and self-expression that offers something different than a party or a conference. This series aims to expand and deepen your skills in both the practical and the psychological aspects of BDSM. This is purely for the queer bdsm and leather community. Queer here means aligned with the queer community and either not cis-gender, or not straight. About the Organizer The Basement Lab is a concept dreamed up and organized by Synchro. Synchro has been an active part of the queer bdsm community for 10+ years. They have organized a range of events, from queer porn screenings to munches, workshops and play parties.
