Playing Straight - Hetero Dynamics as a Kink, workshop One of the most charged relationship tropes out there is the one of a romantic and/or sexual relationship between a man and a woman. It’s charged with expectations of unspoken and explicit power play, clichéd displays of courtship, caretaking (in several directions and from several positions), threat, longing, femininity and masculinity, dress codes and much more. And for many of us queers it’s also a taboo - a dynamic we do not want to end up in. It is, in other words, a perfect dynamic for DS play. This will be a workshop where we talk about the possibilities of playing with heterosexuality as a dynamic - why can it be one of the hottest things to do? And what exactly does it mean to play with this dynamic? Suitable for all experience levels. Queers only. The workshop will be in English as default, with the option of it being in Swedish if everyone who signs up speaks Swedish. If you have any questions before attending you are welcome to contact the organizer Synchro (DS) / Synchronice (Fetlife) About the Facilitator Focalizer is a queer dom with a keen interest in clichés, power dynamics and consensual dubious consent. He has been running workshops in the kink community for 10+ years with two main aims: sharing ideas and skills and building his own bank of possibilities. The Basement Lab The Basement Lab is a series of workshops and skillshares that bring people together in a relaxed setting. It’s where perverted creativity meets connection and experience, where the community is offered a moment to gather to share knowledge, ideas and inspiration. The intimate, laid-back atmosphere is to foster a space for exploration and self-expression that offers something different than a party or a conference. This series aims to expand and deepen your skills in both the practical and the psychological aspects of BDSM. This is purely for the queer bdsm and leather community. Queer here means aligned with the queer community and either not cis-gender, or not straight. About the Organizer The Basement Lab is a concept dreamed up and organized by Synchro. Synchro has been an active part of the queer bdsm community for 10+ years. They have organized a range of events, from queer porn screenings to munches, workshops and play parties. They are driven by creating community spaces for queer perverted minds to meet and be filthy together. Practical Info Limited spots, you need to pre-register and pre-pay.
